LABORATOIRES MAYOLY SPINDLER is a privately-owned French pharmaceutical company specialized in Gastroenterology. It was founded in 1929 by Mr. MAYOLY and his wife, Mrs SPINDLER, both pharmacists based in Paris.
The company acquired in 1975 by Doctor Jean-Marie VERNIN, pharmacist too, has been previously managed by his son, Jean-Gilles VERNIN, also pharmacist, leading the company successfully for more than 25 years (from 1982 to 2008), and then, at his turn, by his own son, Jean-Nicolas VERNIN, also leading both Laboratoires NIGY (Charlieu and Topicream brands) and Laboratoires Galéniques Vernin, settled in 1909 by his great great-grandfather, Louis-Charles VERNIN, with the launch of « Sucrettes », his first commercialized product, an artificial sweetener, at the beginning of the last century.
